5. What does Go-Fertile entail?
The primary aim of a fertility test is give a comprehensive assessment of your fertility. For women, Go-Fertile gives a qualitative and quantitative assessment of your reproductive function. For men, it includes a detailed semen analysis.
Go-Fertile is also available for couples who wish to have an assessment of their combined fertility, where each partner has their own tests done and then come together for a joint consultation with the specialist to discuss the results.
The basic Go Fertile fertility test entails:
In women:
- A detailed questionnaire of your medical history and lifestyle in order to detect possible problems related to infertility.
- A thorough ultrasound assessment of the uterus and ovaries, including ovarian reserve estimation, tridimensional examination of the uterus and blood flow assessment of the ovaries and uterus using color and power Doppler analysis.
- Hormonal assessment to evaluate your ovarian function.
These results will be thoroughly discussed with a fertility specialist, who will give you advise on how to optimize your chances of getting pregnant (now or in the future). In addition, you will be advised whether further diagnostic tests are necessary.
*Fertility testing can be performed at any moment of your cycle, but the optimal time would be right after your period.
In men:
- A detailed questionnaire of your medical history and lifestyle in order to detect possible problems related to infertility.
- A detailed semen analysis, performed by our fertility specialist, which includes sperm concentration, motility and morphology.
- When necessary, more tests may be prescribed, such as microbiological assessment, hormonal testing or ultrasound scanning.
These results will be thoroughly discussed with a fertility specialist, who will give you advise on how to optimize your chances of getting pregnant (now or in the future). In addition, you will be advised whether further diagnostic tests are necessary.
