Cryopreservation

Also called freezing, is the process that preserves organs, cells, tissues, or any other biological material by cooling the samples to very low temperatures.

In Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) sperm, eggs and embryos may be kept in cryopreservation for future use in a treatment cycle.
